Scientific Programs

The Department of Periodontology in association with Kovident and Gigaalase conducted a skill training program and CDE program on 23rd April 2024. Over 50 people participated in the program and the participants came from colleges all over Karnataka and Kerala. Dr Jagdish Pai (Professor and Head, Department of Periodontology, The Oxford Dental College) and Dr Praveen J (Reader Department of Periodontology, The Oxford Dental College) were the resource people. This one-day program encompassed lectures, hands-on and patient demonstrations. The program was well received and appreciated by all.

Department of Public Health Dentistry, The Oxford Dental College organized a two-day workshop on 'Systematic review and Meta analysis' on 5th & 6th April 2024. The guest speakers were Dr. P. Kalyana Chakravarthy (Associate Professor, Dept of Public Health Dentistry, Manipal College of Dental Science) and Dr. Thippeswamy. H. M (Head of Department, Dept of Public Health Dentistry, JSS Dental College and Hospital)

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in collaboration with the Department of Prosthodontics and Department of Periodontology conducted a 2-day advanced implantology course called Mastering Advanced Implantology on 27th and 28th of March 2024. The first day consisted of the surgical module with lectures by faculty from the three participating departments. This was followed by live patient demonstration and hands-on training for sinus lift and prosthetic impression techniques for the reg istered participants, who hailed from all parts of the Karnataka.

On 26th of March, a program was conducted by Department of Orthodontics - "DEPRESSION: HOW TO IDENTIFY AND TACKLE" for BDS students.
